EdgeLocal is an authority directory for local home service contractors. Unlike lead brokers that sell your contact information to the highest bidder, EdgeLocal gives homeowners a straightforward place to find, compare, and contact licensed contractors in their area.

Every listing starts from a state licensing registry. We enrich each profile with publicly available data — reviews, contact info, trade categories — so homeowners get an accurate picture before they make a call.

How the directory works

• Sourced from state registries. Contractor records come from official licensing databases — not scraped ads or marketing lists. If a contractor is licensed, they're in the directory.
• Enriched with public data. We pull in Google Business Profile info, ratings, phone numbers, websites, and trade categories to make profiles more useful.
• Claimed profiles. Any contractor can claim their free profile, verify their identity, and update their business info.
• No fabricated reviews. Ratings shown are from Google, not manufactured by us.

For homeowners

Browse licensed contractors by trade and location. Compare ratings, read descriptions, and save favorites. Use the quote request form to contact a contractor directly — we forward your message straight to them. No middlemen, no upsells.

For contractors

Your listing is free. Claim your profile to update contact info, add a description, and make it easier for homeowners to find you.

Paid subscribers ($25/month) get weekly keyword ranking reports — 225 grid points around their location for each trade keyword, updated every Sunday. You can see exactly where you're winning and where competitors are outranking you.
