Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account info: Email address and password hash when you create an account.
• ZIP code: Used for proximity search (not stored permanently unless you submit a quote request).
• Favorites: Contractor IDs you save, linked to your account.
• Quote requests: Name, email, phone (optional), ZIP, and project description you submit when contacting a contractor.
• Billing info: If you subscribe as a contractor, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We store only your Stripe subscription ID.

How we use your data

• To operate the directory and provide search results.
• To route quote requests to the appropriate contractor.
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, quote notifications).
• To send marketing emails to contractors who received a quote lead (opt-out link included in every email).
• To provide paid ranking reports to subscribed contractors.

Sub-processors

• Neon — Database hosting (contractor records, user accounts, favorites, quote requests).
• Stripe — Payment processing for contractor subscriptions.
• Resend — Transactional and marketing email delivery.
• Cloudflare — Hosting, CDN, and DDoS protection.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data to third parties. Quote request details (name, email, phone, project description) are forwarded to the contractor you contacted. We do not share account data with advertisers.

Cookies and sessions

We use a single session cookie (JWT stored as an httpOnly cookie) to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

Account deletion

To delete your account and associated data, email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my account." We will process your request within 30 days.
