• Why should I create an account?

Account creation takes under a minute—just an email and password. EdgeLocal does not sell your information or share your contact details with contractors unless you choose to reach out directly. An account is optional—you can search and view profiles without signing in—but it's useful when you're evaluating multiple contractors across several days or weeks before making your hiring decision.

• What can I do with saved favorites?

  Your EdgeLocal favorites list is a private collection of contractors you've bookmarked while browsing. Save any contractor profile by clicking the bookmark icon on their listing. From your favorites page, you can review saved contractors, compare their ratings and contact info side by side, and reach out to multiple businesses when you're ready to get quotes. This is especially useful when collecting estimates: instead of re-searching each time, your candidates are all in one place. Your favorites list is visible only to you—contractors cannot see who has saved them. You can remove contractors from your list at any time, and there's no limit on how many you can save.

• Is my information shared with contractors?

  No. Your EdgeLocal account information is private. Contractors cannot see your account details, your saved favorites list, or that you've viewed their profile. When you're ready to contact a contractor, you do so directly—by calling their listed phone number or visiting their website. If you submit a quote request through the profile page, you control what information you include in that message. EdgeLocal does not sell your personal information to contractors or third parties. You remain anonymous in the directory until you actively choose to reach out.

• Can I use EdgeLocal without an account?

  Yes. You can search the directory, view any contractor profile, and access all contact information—phone numbers, websites, and ratings—without creating an account. An account adds the ability to save contractors to a favorites list so you can quickly return to the ones you liked and organize your options before getting quotes. If you're doing a quick lookup for a single contractor, no account is needed. Creating one is free and takes about a minute when you're ready.
